About Crystal
Crystal Navarro, FNP-C is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in primary care and a passion for helping clients achieve lasting health through compassionate, evidence-based care. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Spring Arbor University and has spent her career partnering with patients to address both immediate health concerns and long-term wellness goals.
Crystal’s dedication to patient-centered care is deeply personal. Growing up in a small town in northern Michigan, she witnessed firsthand the impact that inconsistent healthcare can have on individuals and families. Her sister lived with bipolar disorder and experienced frequent turnover in mental health providers, often having to rebuild trust and start over just as meaningful progress was being made. Watching the effects of fragmented care inspired Crystal’s commitment to providing the kind of consistent, relationship-centered care that helps patients feel supported, understood, and empowered.
She became a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2019, just before the COVID-19 pandemic reshaped healthcare. While she has always loved practicing family medicine, she recognized that many patients receive mental health treatment through their primary care provider. Motivated to better serve those patients, Crystal is currently pursuing her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification, which she expects to complete in April 2027. Her advanced psychiatric training further strengthens her holistic approach to care and reflects her commitment to treating the whole person.
At Onward Growth Psychiatry, Crystal specializes in medical weight management and hormone optimization, offering personalized GLP-1 treatment programs and Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). She believes hormone health exists at the intersection of physical and mental wellness, recognizing that hormonal changes can significantly affect mood, anxiety, sleep, energy, metabolism, libido, bone health, and overall quality of life. When safe, evidence-based treatment options are available, Crystal believes every patient deserves the knowledge and support to make informed decisions about their care.
Drawing from both her clinical experience and her personal understanding of neurodiversity, Crystal creates a welcoming, judgment-free environment where patients feel heard, respected, and valued. Her goal is to provide thoughtful, individualized care that empowers each person to improve their physical and emotional well-being while building sustainable, lasting health.
